Operational principle.

In hydraulic system, the compression of gas medium is utilized to store the fluid. The diaphragm accumulator is based on the principle, using nitrogen as the compressible medium. The diaphragm accumulator consists of a fluid section and a gas section with the diaphragm acting as a gas-proof screen. The fluid section is connected with the hydraulic circuit, so that the diaphragm accumulator draws in the fluid and the gas is compressed when the pressure increae. When the pressure drops, the compressed gas expands and forces the stored fluid into the circuit.
